SPEC CPU95 retired in July 2000

With the release of SPEC CPU2000, SPEC has begun the process of retiring the SPEC CPU95 benchmark suite. Starting April 1, 2000, SPEC is requiring all SPEC CPU95 submissions to the SPEC Web Site to be accompanied by a SPEC CPU2000 result on the same hardware configuration. This is to motivate the population of the SPEC CPU2000 result database. Beginning July 1, 2000, SPEC will stop accepting SPEC CPU95 submissions for publication on the SPEC web site. Also, at a yet to be determined date, SPEC will discontinue sale of SPEC CPU95.
